Why there's a fee
UnitedHumans is a company, not a charity: we don't take a cut of your gift as profit to keep for ourselves, but running the app does cost money, and we're upfront about it. The fee pays the people who review every cause before it's shown, keep the app secure, and support you if something goes wrong. It also funds the marketing that helps more people find UnitedHumans — the more people give, the more causes can be helped.

How does a round-up work?
When you spend $4.35, the app rounds the purchase up to $5.00 and sets aside the 65 cents. If you'd rather, you can give a small percentage of each purchase instead.
Does UnitedHumans take a fee?
Yes — a 5% administrative and processing fee on the round-up amount, which supports running the app and reaching more people. The rest goes to your causes. See where your money goes for the full breakdown.
Who decides which causes I support?
You do. Back one cause or split your giving across several. Every cause is reviewed before it appears in the app.
Can I set a limit, or stop?
Yes. Set a monthly limit, and change or switch off your giving in Settings at any time.
